Online therapy in Minnesota

FAQ

Do you offer online therapy in Minnesota?

Yes. Sessions are remote for clients in Minneapolis and throughout Minnesota. I’m licensed in Minnesota (LICSW #29347) and can only see clients located in MN.

Do you take insurance?

In-network insurance is available through Headway. Superbills are available for out-of-network reimbursement. The client submits the superbill to their insurance and is reimbursed directly by their insurer. Check your coverage with your plan or on Headway.

What does a free consultation include?

A free 15-minute call to ask questions and see if we’re a good fit. No pressure to commit.

Who do you work with?

Teens (13+) and adults navigating ADHD, anxiety, and perfectionism; relationships, attachment, and recovery from abuse; and bipolar spectrum and mood disorders. I’m EMDR-trained.

Do you work with teens?

Parents or guardians can book the free consult for a teen. Teens under 16 need a parent or guardian's consent to start therapy. Teens 16 and older can consent to their own care under Minnesota law.

How much do sessions cost?

Private pay is $175 per 55-minute session, including when you book on Headway. Sliding scale is $100 to $175 per session based on income. For a sliding-scale rate, book the free consult first so we can talk it through.

Can you see clients outside Minnesota?

No. Telehealth requires you to be physically located in Minnesota during sessions.

What if we’re not a good fit?

It usually takes a few sessions to know whether therapy with me is the right fit, for both of us. If over time it becomes clear that you need a different specialty or approach, I’ll share options and referrals. If you need more support than weekly outpatient therapy, like a hospital, intensive, or residential program, I’ll help you find the right level of care, and we can talk about coming back to therapy with me once things are more stable.
